Pioneer Rector
Welcome from the Rector
"As the Pioneer Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Abuja, I am honoured to lead the development of a new, ambitious institution with a bold vision — to become one of Nigeria's foremost centres for technical and technological education, innovation, and human capital development.
We are building this Polytechnic from the ground up — with modern curricula designed with industry input, facilities being developed to world-class standards, and a culture rooted in knowledge, character, competence, innovation, and service. Our mandate is to deliver quality technical and technological education, practical skills, entrepreneurship, and industry-relevant human capital that responds to the evolving needs of students, industry, government, and society.
We are on a trajectory of continuous growth — expanding our programmes, modernising our laboratories and workshops, investing in digital infrastructure, and building partnerships with government, industry, professional organisations, and international institutions. Our long-term aspiration is to provide you with access to modern learning environments, practical laboratories, digital technologies, industry engagement, entrepreneurship opportunities, and supportive campus facilities.
I invite you to be part of this journey — to grow with us, shape our emerging traditions, and help build a Polytechnic that will be a force for progress in technical education and national development."
